I've discovered that Air Fryer Garlic Green Beans are not only simple to prepare, but they also pack a ton of delicious flavor. Although this dish doesn't qualify as Thanksgiving green bean casserole, many people still enjoy the traditional creamy casserole topped with fried onions. While I'm not typically a fan of green beans, I refuse to give up on them. Therefore, I'm constantly experimenting with new ways to make them more tempting, and it's great to have an additional vegetable dish option for dinner!
To make this recipe, you'll only need four ingredients, an air fryer, and five minutes of your time to prepare a fantastic side dish!
Can You Air Fry Green Beans?
Yes, it's incredibly simple! Air Fryer green beans make for a perfect quick side dish that's ideal for any night of the week. They retain a nice crunch and, with this recipe, the salt and garlic become crispy. It's an ideal side dish!
How to make this fun air fryer recipe
First and foremost, ensure that you rinse the green beans thoroughly with water. Even if the package indicates pre-washing, it's always better to wash your vegetables before cooking them. Then, snap or cut off the ends of the green beans, which should only take a few minutes. It would be a great idea to involve your children in this process, as it could encourage them to try the green beans and even help with preparing dinner.
Fresh garlic is a great addition to many dishes, but sometimes we opt for convenience and use dry minced garlic or jarred garlic instead. For those lazy days when peeling and chopping garlic seems like too much effort, having a jar of garlic in the refrigerator and some minced garlic in the pantry does save a few minutes. Moving on to the green beans, start by cleaning and trimming them, then toss them in a bowl with garlic, salt, and olive oil to coat them.
For s perfect dish, coat them with olive oil and garlic. To avoid sticking, apply cooking spray on the bottom of the air fryer basket. Adjust the temperature to 375 degrees and cook for 5 minutes. Keep in mind that cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer, so adjust it accordingly to achieve your desired level of crispiness.
These green beans are delicious on their own or as a side dish to your preferred main course. We enjoyed them alongside our air-fried chicken cordon bleu.
