We can't get enough of Air Fryer Salmon!! The salmon is perfect every time in the air fryer and it's so much faster to make than on the cooktop or oven. I know, I say this a lot, but this Air Fryer Orange and Ginger Glazed Salmon is one of my favorite recipes!!!! If you're like us you can't get enough salmon. We try to have it once a week, so we like to test out different ways of cooking the salmon so it doesn't get boring. When we started brainstorming this orange and ginger glazed salmon recipe we were excited because, not only is it a new fun way to glaze salmon, but we also get to use the air fryer!!!! BONUS!
Another plus is that since we're using the air fryer to cook our salmon I don't burn my hands like I do when we place the pan of salmon in the oven. Yes, every time we make salmon in the oven I somehow burn myself! So, it's a healthy lifestyle thing for me!!! 😀
Tip: When placing a sauté pan in the oven, remember the handle gets super hot!!! So after pulling the pan out of the oven slip the hot pad over the handle. That way when you grab that pan to serve the food you won't burn off your fingerprints!!!! Oh yes, it's taken me a lot of burnt fingers to figure this one out.
Just a few easy steps to make Orange and Ginger Glazed Salmon
This is a really easy fast dinner to make. I suggest you start the orange and ginger glaze first. The salmon cooks in less than 15 minutes. For all recipes, I always like to get all the ingredients ready before starting to cook. It saves time (and a lot of stress) when trying to find the ingredients while cooking.
Steps to Making the Glaze and Air Frying the Salmon
- Grate the ginger and slice the garlic
Zest the orange and measure out the orange juice and maple syrup. Slice orange if using for Garnish
Pour all ingredients (except for salmon, olive oil, salt, and pepper) into a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Turn it down to a simmer. Cook until it has reduced to about half.
Prepare the Salmon while the sauce is reducing.
I like to rinse off the salmon with cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Then spread the olive oil on the salmon skin and top of the salmon. Sprinkle the salt and pepper to top of the salmon.
Place salmon in the air fryer skin down. Cook at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Brush each salmon with the orange glaze. Air Fry for additional 5 minutes at 400 degrees
When salmon is done remove from the air fryer and brush on the rest of the orange glaze.
Garnish with fresh dill and sliced oranges. Enjoy!!!!
We have several other air fryer salmon recipes. They are all easy to make and full of flavor. Check out our pepper-crusted salmon with dill mustard sauce. Salmon is also great on the grill. We usually use a cedar plank when grilling salmon. If you're interested in grilling: Check out how to grill salmon.
