Buffalo chicken wings are undoubtedly some of the best bar food on earth, right up there with potato skins, loaded cheese fries, and jalapeño poppers. They are usually served fried and drenched in wing sauce, which is often mixed with butter and accompanied by chunky blue cheese or ranch dressing. Of course, they are always best paired with an ice-cold beer. The only downside is that they are not exactly diet-friendly... until now!

Buffalo Chicken Tenders
This dish is incredibly easy to make, so much so that a recipe is not even required! You can prepare it before half-time is over. We absolutely love making this dish because it is both easy and spicy. It has all the delicious flavors you would expect from bar food, making it perfect for watching the big game. Moreover, it is low in fat and calories, SCCOOOORRRREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! We've been watching a lot of hockey and football lately, so please excuse all the comparisons.
Low Fat Buffalo Chicken Tenders - Spicy!!!!
Here is how we re-imagined the sports bar classic:
- Swap out the chicken wings for boneless skinless chicken breast (Don't worry, it has tons of flavor)
- Slice the chicken breast into strips (you can also buy pre-sliced chicken tenders)
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with nonstick foil
- Place sliced chicken breast on foil and toss with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 20 minutes until done.
- Take the chicken strips out and toss with Franks Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce (or your favorite wing sauce...I haven't found one better than Frank's!!!) This sauce is also AMAZING on Buffalo Meatballs.
- After tossing the chicken strips in the sauce, place it back in the oven to warm up the sauce for about 5 minutes.
- Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing. We like to toss chunks of blue cheese in Ranch dressing for an enjoyable sauce.

Leftover Tenders
Depending on how much you make, you might have leftovers. We think this is the perfect opportunity to make another bar food favorite, the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich! All you need is a bun, lettuce, blue cheese dressing, and your leftover chicken...YUM, YUM, and YUM!!!!
For those who prefer their food to be super spicy, you can chop up some Thai peppers and mix them with the chicken. Alternatively, you can add cayenne pepper before cooking.
