We've been thinking of creating a new recipe, but we wanted it to incorporate an ingredient we haven't used before. Unfortunately, it had to be something non-spicy. After a few glasses of wine, we came up with the idea of using roasted red peppers. The decision was largely influenced by the fact that we already had them in the fridge, and, of course, our creative juices were flowing after a few sips of wine! We've grilled various types of peppers before, like Habanero, Jalapeños, Anaheim, Hatch, and even Serranos, but we've never roasted red peppers. So, it's time to start!

Grilled Roasted Red Peppers
Roasted red peppers have a mesmerizing aroma that can make your tastebuds dance. You can roast red peppers in many ways, such as on a gas burner, in the oven, or on a grill. However, our preferred method is on a grill, and we will explain how to do it in an easy and fun way.
How to easily Roast Peppers
To prepare delicious grilled peppers, start by giving them a gentle but thorough wash under cold water.
Once washed, place the peppers on a hot grill and allow them to cook until each side is beautifully charred. Continue to grill the peppers until every side is evenly grilled, ensuring that they are cooked to perfection.
When the peppers are charred, it's time to place them in a paper bag or covered bowl. To do this, simply loosely close the paper bag or cover the bowl with saran wrap or foil before placing the peppers inside. This step is crucial, as it allows the peppers to cool and become soft.
Leave the peppers inside the bag or covered bowl for at least 15 minutes to allow them to rest. After 15 minutes, it's time to remove the peppers from the bag or covered bowl. You'll notice that the peppers are now incredibly soft and tender.
Rinse the charred skin off under cool water, then carefully cut the peppers open to remove the seeds and stems. Finally, it's time to slice and chop the peppers to your desired size or freeze them. Alternatively, you can enjoy them as they are, straight off the grill. Follow these steps, and you'll have perfectly grilled peppers that are bursting with flavor and really delicious.
