Follow along with our funny, sometimes unusual, journey to Weight Loss Victory!
In this section we feature pictures, weight loss posts, and recipe ideas highlighting what we have done, and continue to do, to lose weight and be HAPPY every day. As a Mother/Daughter team, we have decided to take on the project of losing weight and getting healthy together!
How it all started...
We have always been very close and ALWAYS have a lot of fun together. Well, that "FUN" was really catching up with us in the form of the dreaded WEIGHT GAIN! It's hard to explain but our fun times really were not as fun anymore. What I mean is, when you don't feel good, even with your best friend, it's hard to enjoy life to its fullest. So, we both needed to lose about 100 lbs each and just decided...LET's DO THIS! At the time, honestly, I thought it would be like every other diet and fade away after 3 or 4 months. But, something different happened. It's like the clouds cleared this time. I think it's because we were doing it together AND we were going out of our way to make sure NOT to miss out on any flavor or favorite foods!

This became a way of life and it isn't hard to do since we focused on what we like to eat not just eating everything we see!
The Weight Loss Journey
After we decided it was time to take life by the horns and actually start taking control, we joined forces, high-fived, and took the leap... right into the garage to dig out the old scale from the bottom of a box, in the back. Ok, maybe it wasn't hiding, maybe it was intentionally "stored" there. Finding the scale was step one, and stepping on it, well that was steps 2-5!!!! Facing reality isn't always easy, and weight is just a number on the scale. This step, for us, is more for tracking and to be healthy we both want to drop actual pounds. Every Monday we step on the scale, track it, and watch the graph on our fit bit app go down. It feels really good, but what feels even better is how much more energy we have! As a result, the dogs are loving their longer daily walks!
The Food
In order to make this weight loss journey work, we know the food has to be GOOD and we Love Love Love spicy food with lots of flavor! We transform our old favorites to be lower in calories and fat and higher in flavor. Our goal with this blog is to share with other people, just like us, who have had a hard time with weight loss and consider "diet" a 4-letter word. We want to remove that stigma and take the dread out of diet-making the journey fun!
