We usually make salmon at least a couple of times a month if not once a week. It's one of our favorite fish and is very reasonably priced. Grilling salmon using a cedar board is usually our go-to way of making it during the summer. Well, after making this easy Air Fryer Bourbon Glazed Salmon, I'm sure it's going to be a new favorite... even in the summer. As Amy said, this is a salmon a grizzly bear would be proud of!!!
As I mentioned, this Air Fryer Bourbon Glazed Salmon recipe is so simple and soooo delicious. Start with the Bourbon glaze - which adds a ton of flavor to the salmon. Toss (well don't toss) the salmon into the air fryer. Put some more of the glaze on the salmon and finish air frying. After about 12 minutes the salmon is ready!
Bourbon Glazed Salmon
The Bourbon glazed salmon is made with Bourbon, of course, brown sugar, Worcestershire, maple syrup, mustard, lemon, garlic, and ginger.
Bring the sauce to a boil then reduce the heat to simmer. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. The sauce will reduce to about half.
Sprinkle each salmon piece with salt and pepper.
Place the Salmon in the Air Fryer on Parchment paper.
Bake in Air fryer, then adds some of the Bourbon glaze. Air fry for a few more minutes.
Sprinkle the Salmon with Sesame seeds. Then Enjoy!!!! The best part, this takes less than 20 minutes from start to finish. And the salmon is perfect every time.
TIPS:
- Rinse Salmon under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.
- Using parchment paper makes the clean up much faster and a lot easier
- Parchment paper also helps lift the bourbon glazed salmon out of the air fryer.
- Remember all air fryers cook a little differently. I always try to check the food the last few minutes to know when it is done.
- To brown lemon. Slice the lemon into ½ in pieces. Heat a sauté pan on the cooktop, Place the lemon slices in the pan for about 30 seconds. They will get a nice caramelized layer and taste very sweet.
