Who doesn't love Buffalo Chicken Wings???? They are the best!!! Since we're always looking for ways to cut calories, and still enjoy some of our favorites, we decided to make Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower. Now, this isn't the same as buffalo chicken meatballs or wings but they do satisfy that urge for chicken wings. The Buffalo Cauliflower has the same flavors as the wings. And they're easier to make than Chicken Wings!!!!
How to make Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower
You're going to be surprised how easy this appetizer is to make!! I think the hardest part of this recipe is going to the grocery store and buying the cauliflower!!
Cut the Cauliflower into bite-size pieces. The easiest way to cut the cauliflower is to cut out the stem at the bottom. Then it's easy to cut or even pull apart with your hands to get the bite-size pieces.
When the cauliflower is in "bitesize" pieces (who am I to judge how big or small the "bite-size" pieces are for everyone!) Haha
After cutting up the cauliflower toss it in garlic powder, paprika (add that smokey flavor), and salt, for a little crunch add cornstarch, then mix it into one cup of your favorite wing sauce. We use Franks Hot Sauce but you can make your own. Actually, we used Franks Red Hot Extra hot sauce. Let me tell you this was HOT!!!!!!!!!! Loved it!
Mix together all the spices and sauce
Toss the Cauliflower into the mixture and coat! Air Fry.
Serve the buffalo cauliflower with your favorite sauce. We mixed blue cheese crumbles with Ranch Dressing. . .So GOOD!!! One of Amy's favorite sayings is "why have Blue Cheese or Ranch Dressing when you can have both!!!"
Recipe TIPS:
- Find your favorite Buffalo Hot Sauce. We like Franks Hot Sauce. It has a nice tang. I do recommend NOT Using the extra hot Buffalo sauce unless you really like it HOT. It is spicy!!!
- Every Air Fryer is a little different. Check the buffalo cauliflower when it gets down to about 2 minutes left to cook. Depending on the air fryer it could take a minute or two less or a few minutes longer to cook.
