If you're looking for a yummy dinner idea, you've come to the right place! How about trying Air Fryer Cauliflower Parmesan? It's super easy to make and tastes so cheesy and delicious. We're big fans of Chicken Parmesan, but this veggie version is just as good, if not better! The cauliflower has a unique and tasty flavor that pairs perfectly with the cheese and sauce. Plus, it's a fun way to switch things up and have an all-veggie dinner. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
"I really wish I had thought about making Cauliflower Parmesan when my children were younger. They would have enjoyed it without even realizing that they were eating cauliflower. I used to try all sorts of tricks with my kids when they were little. I mean, what could be better than having cauliflower coated in sauce and cheese?"
Cauliflower Parmesan is a total star dish!!!!
To make this dish perfect, it's important to slice the head of cauliflower into thick, hearty pieces that can handle the generous amount of sauce and cheese that will be added. This way, the flavors will be evenly distributed and the cauliflower will be able to hold up to the weight of the toppings.
How to Make????
To make the dish, first mix together the parmesan cheese and spices to create the coating.
- Cut the cauliflower steaks into thick pieces that will be able to hold the delicious flavor.
- Brush some egg wash onto the cauliflower steaks
- Sprinkle the parmesan cheese and spices mix onto them.
- Place the cauliflower steaks in the air fryer and spray cooking spray on top of them.
- Enjoy your crispy and flavorful cauliflower steaks!
Cook the Cauliflower in Air Fryer for 8 minutes or until they start to crisp on the outside and are soft in the middle.
Top with cheese and air fry for a few additional minutes until the cheese melts
Top with marinara sauce. The cauliflower is transformed into an ooey-gooey crispy plate of deliciousness.
"This dish has become a favorite in our household. I enjoy it on its own, with pasta, as a sandwich, over other vegetables, or with a nice garlic bread. It is one of those versatile meals that can be enjoyed with any side dish."
Pasta
"Of course, pasta with marinara sauce is the classic combination to serve with chicken or cauliflower parmesan.
The pasta can be made quickly while the cauliflower is cooking in the air fryer. We love having spaghetti with the dish. For a little change, just top it with some fresh basil or parsley. We always add some additional grated parmesan."
Veggies
If you are looking to reduce your calorie intake or eliminate carbs from your diet but still crave a spaghetti-like dish, you can substitute pasta with zucchini or spaghetti squash. You can either use a spiralizer to make zucchini noodles (zoodles) or purchase frozen zoodles from a grocery store.
To cook the zoodles, sauté them in a little olive oil and garlic, and then add marinara sauce and cauliflower parmesan as toppings. This is a delicious and healthy alternative to regular pasta that you can enjoy guilt-free.
Salad
Another healthy meal option that pairs well with Air Fryer Cauliflower Parmesan is a salad. I personally enjoy a classic salad with Ranch or Blue Cheese Dressing, which is easy to make. Simply wash and spin dry some lettuce, then add other veggies from your fridge, such as carrots, spring onions, or broccoli.
If you're looking for something different, a classic Caesar salad is always a great choice to go with this Cauliflower Parmesan. The Caesar dressing adds a nice flavor to the meal.
Garlic Bread
"I absolutely adore garlic bread! It's an excellent addition to dishes like this, though it does add more calories. But it complements the marinara sauce so perfectly. After all, who doesn't enjoy garlic bread, except for a vampire, of course! (HaHa)
I love to have a nice crusty bread toasted with garlic and butter. It's so delicious! If you use roasted garlic, it adds a sweet flavor that makes the garlic bread even more irresistible."
