It seems like since we moved back to Ohio we eat a lot more potatoes. I grew up having potatoes with almost every dinner, so making air fryer Pub Fries seems like a perfect side dish. Hey, let's be honest, I could have any type of potatoes, fries, or mashed potatoes several days a week and be very happy... but I know my diet would be totally shot!!! 🤔 😀
Now, one thing we've discovered, it's still possible to enjoy all of your favorite dishes... even on a diet. We refuse to cut any flavor, even if the food is lower in fat and/or calories. So, using the air fryer helps make treats like "Air Fryer Pub Fries" something I can have and not feel guilty about.
A few Easy Steps to make Pub Fries
- Wash the potatoes with water.
- Cut the Potatoes in half. Then cut in strips. The strips should be about ½ inch or less thick
- Toss the potatoes in olive oil and seasoning.
- Place the pub fries in the Air Fryer
- That's it!!!! So, in 20 minutes you will have Pub fries that are crunchy on the outside and nice and fluffy in the center.
TIPS:
- Use Russet Potatoes for the fries. The same potatoes are used for baking potatoes.
- All Air Fryers are a little different. We have two different air fryers. These Pub Fries take 5 minutes longer in the air fryer. I find just checking every 2 or 3 minutes when it gets close to finishing helps ensure nice crispy fries.
