Air Fryer Sesame Salmon is the perfect addition to a spinach salad, or it can shine on its own. We absolutely love a good spinach salad and often whip one up with some hard-boiled eggs, spring onions, feta cheese, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. But when you toss in the sesame salmon, it takes this simple spinach salad to a whole new level of fancy! It's great for a dinner party or just for a cozy meal at home. And the best part? It only takes about 15 minutes to make. Enjoy!
Air Fryer Sesame Salmon
First, mix together the delicious sauce for the Salmon. The sauce includes honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili garlic sauce, ginger, and sesame seeds.
Next, season the Salmon with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Note: The sauce has soy sauce so don't put too much salt on the Salmon, just a very light sprinkle.
Give the air fryer a quick spray with cooking spray. We like using olive oil or butter spray. Slice up a lemon and pop the slices into the air fryer tray for a hint of lemony goodness with the Salmon. TIP: If you don't have lemons, the Salmon will still turn out great without them in the air fryer.
Cook the Salmon at 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
After the Salmon has cooked for 8 minutes, brush the sauce on the top and sides of the fish. Cook the Salmon for an additional 6 minutes at 400 degrees.
Note: All air fryers are a little different, so cooking time can vary. Just check to make sure the Salmon is done, and add a few extra minutes if needed. A meat thermometer can really come in handy to get the exact temperature of the Salmon and tell when it's completely cooked through to your preference.
Spinach Salad
While the Salmon is cooking, prepare the salad portion of the Sesame Salmon Spinach Salad! 😀 If you want hardboiled eggs for the salad, Place them in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil and boil the eggs for 7 ½ minutes. Remove them from the heat, drain them, and cover them with cold water and some ice cubes.
We love using baby spinach for our salads! First, give the spinach a good rinse with cold water to get rid of any sand or dirt, then give it a whirl in a salad spinner to dry. Place a generous helping of spinach on each plate. Next, chop up some green onions and sprinkle them on top of the spinach. Add a sprinkle of crumbled feta cheese!
Finally, drizzle your favorite salad dressing on top. It's always a good idea to measure out the dressing to avoid using too much and add wasted calories. Trust me, a little less dressing than you think you need often makes for the best salads! Enjoy! 😀
Sesame Salmon Spinach Salad
When the Salmon is done in the air fryer, place it on top of the salad, and the Sesame Salmon Spinach Salad is complete. Enjoy!!!!!
Sesame Salmon Spinach Salad Recipe Tips:
- Use light soy sauce to ensure the Salmon doesn't taste too salty.
- Placing the lemons in the air fryer adds a nice flavor to the Salmon. The lemons are not necessary the Salmon cooks great either way.
- If you're like us and think ginger is kind of a pain to grate OR it that seems like we don't have any when we want to cook with it... We found that you can peel the ginger with a potato peeler then place the peeled ginger in a small food processor and chop. Just put the chopped ginger in an air-tight container or zip-lock bag and freeze!! It can be frozen for up to 6 months. This way ginger is always available.
