Delicious Mango Salsa for Grilled Meats and Tacos

You only need a handful of ingredients to whip up this amazingly flavorful, fresh, and delicious Mango Salsa recipe that will make your taste buds sing! We absolutely love it with grilled shrimp, chicken, pork, or fish. This is also fantastic with fish, shrimp tacos or enjoyed as a dip with tortilla chips. This salsa is perfect as an appetizer or to add some extra zing to your main course. I think it would be a fantastic addition to a fun brunch too!

This amazing mango salsa is a breeze to whip up in just under 15 minutes! It's great to prepare a day in advance. We always make extra mango salsa because it's such a hit with everyone. The best part is that this fresh salsa is low in calories.

Make sure the mango is ripe

First things first, make sure you've got a nice ripe mango. To check if it's ready, just give it a gentle squeeze. If it gives a little, it's good to go for this recipe. Try to avoid using super soft mangos for this, save those for smoothies or other recipes. You want the mango to be firm enough to cut into cubes for the mango salsa.

 If you're in a hurry to ripen a mango, pop it in a paper bag with an apple. This little trick will speed up the ripening process. It works for avocados too!

How to make the mango salsa recipe

Cut the mangoes into bite-sized chunks and chop the red pepper, cilantro, onion, and cucumber.

When you're making the salsa, just gently mix together the mango, red pepper, onion, cilantro, cucumber, and Thai peppers in a big bowl. And hey, if you want a sweet and spicy salsa, don't forget to add those Thai peppers!

Add the lime juice, salt and apple cider vinegar. Mix. Taste to make sure it has the right amount of lime juice, salt, and vinegar.

Ingredients

  • 2 Mangos
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • ½ Cup Cucumber
  • 3 Green Onion
  • ⅓ Cup Cilantro
  • 1 Thai Peppers or Serrano peppers Optional
  • 3 Tablespoons Lime Juice (about one Lime)
  • ½ teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
  • ½ Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

Instructions

  • Chop the Mango
  • Chop the Bell Pepper
  • Chop the cucumber
  • Chop the Onion
  • Chop the Cilantro
  • Chop the Thai peppers (if using)
  • Add all ingredients to a large bowl
  • Add the lime juice, vinegar, and salt. Gently mix the ingredients. Taste and add more salt if needed
  • Enjoy
