Mushrooms!!!!
I used to really dislike mushrooms. Everyone else in the family loved them. I would try them but they were not that great to me and I could never understand why anyone would put them on salads. Then we discovered a new way of sautéing mushrooms and I fell in love with them. Plus, since starting our lifestyle changes we have so much fun trying new ways of trying different foods. So why not grill mushrooms and add some fun toppings? Like Habanero Cheese Mushroom with Cilantro.
New Grocery Store
We have a new grocery store close to our house. Which was really exciting. Especially since it is close to a really good Mexican Restaurant and our favorite Bagel restaurant. I mean everything you need within 15 minutes of the house!!!
Of course, everything at the new grocery store is so fresh and they have an amazing selection. We found these beautiful Portobello mushrooms so we had to get them to grill. And we both wanted to try something new so why not come up with some kind of fun toppings for the mushrooms and of course make it spicy!!!
Grilling!!!!
We love to grill in the summer and we don't let anything intimidate us when it comes to grilling. Well, maybe dessert on the grill is intimidating HaHa. But we might try it one of these days. For today it's Mushrooms on the grill. Why not come up with 5 different toppings? We love the mushrooms with Blue Cheese toppings, Gouda Cheese with peppers, and Swiss cheese (or Jarlsberg cheese) with crunch salami then there is the one with Pizza topping. I mean why not make a mushroom with pizza toppings? The crust isn't needed!!!
Habanero Cheese Mushroom
So while at the store we decided to make our favorite mushrooms and why not come up with some new toppings? Then we saw the Habanero cheese in the cheese section. And we have a ton of cilantro in our herb garden. That is how we came up with this new Habanero cheese Mushroom.
Key Tips!
- Add Cream Cheese. It makes the cheese creamy and it cuts a ton of calories.
- Use Whipped Cream Cheese
- Spray the Mushroom tops with Olive Oil stray.
- Use your favorite seasoning. We have tried salt and pepper but have decided that Goya's original seasoning is the best.
