Our love of diverse cuisines has inspired us to come up with new recipes using the air fryer. We adore Crab Rangoons and usually order them when we go out for Chinese food. If we do take out Chinese food, the Rangoons usually don't all make it home. I mean, we live 25 minutes from the closest restaurant!!! So those little Rangoons call my name all the way home. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten home from picking up dinner and had to say, "Oh, maybe they forgot the Rangoons!!" Wink wink.
Of course, we had to experiment with making Air Fryer Crab Rangoons. These were a lot like our favorite Rangoons. . . but way better!!! And I don't have to drive anywhere.
Air Fryer Crab Rangoons
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy this recipe is to make. With only 5 ingredients, it took me just 20 minutes from start to finish. And the best part was that I didn't even have to leave the house to get the ingredients! This recipe is perfect when unexpected guests drop by as they can help fold the Rangoons and the snack will be ready even faster. Moreover, we managed to cut down the oil usage by using the air fryer. Don't forget to try our Air Fryer Pork Spring Rolls as well, they are a real crowd-pleaser!
These have just as much flavor and are so much fun to make. Plus, no oil to clean up after making them!!!
TIPS:
- Adding lemon zest can give a bright and fresh taste to the dish.
- Mix the crab, cream cheese, onion, and lemon ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator. This step can be done even a day before
- If you prefer not to use crab, you can use only cream cheese. Add a little Lemon Zest to the cream cheese to add a nice kick of flavor.
