Chili is one of my favorite foods. I'm not sure about you, but I absolutely love it. This recipe for Spicy Turkey Chili is not only amazing but also super easy to make. We used to make Chili with ground beef or sometimes with a chuck roast, which was definitely delicious. However, since we decided to focus on a healthier lifestyle, we came up with an amazing version of Spicy Turkey Chili. Despite using turkey instead of beef, this chili has all the fantastic flavors that you would expect from a traditional chili recipe.
The Best Spicy Turkey Chili Recipe
I must admit, I absolutely adore spicy turkey chili, and it tastes even better the following day. For some reason, chili seems to improve over time. Everyone who has tasted this chili has loved it, and they find it hard to believe that it is lower in calories. By using ground turkey, we can save about 100 calories per bowl of chili. Interestingly, a light beer contains 99 calories, which is almost the same amount. So, please serve me a bowl of this turkey chili and a nice ice-cold beer!!!
Turkey Chili is Huge in flavor.
This Spicy Turkey Chili recipe is bursting with flavor, and it's incredibly easy to make. All you need is a large pot and 10 to 15 minutes to prepare, and then let it simmer for one to two hours. The longer you simmer it, the more flavorful it becomes. Before you know it, dinner is served, and you have leftovers for lunch or dinner on another day. We love to serve it with saltine crackers and a little cheese or sour cream on top.
We used 99% fat-free ground turkey meat, chili beans, fat-free chicken broth, and a blend of spices. I prefer to use fat-free chicken broth as it enhances the spices and adds a subtle flavor that enhances the dish. If you omitted it, the recipe would be completely different. I experimented several times with this recipe to perfect the blend of spices. It's undoubtedly spicy and packed with flavor!
