- 1 pound 99% ground Turkey or Ground Chicken
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 Large Onion
- 4 Tablespoon Chili Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Cayenne Pepper Optional use only if you want it spicy
- 2 teaspoon Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 2 teaspoon Chicken Bouillon
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 2 teaspoon Paprika
- 32 Ounces Fat-Free Chicken Broth
- 12 Ounces Dark Beer
- 32 Ounces Spicy Chili beans
- 1 Habanero or Ghost Pepper Optional Only if you want it super spicy
- 30 Ounces Diced tomatoes 2 - 14 ½ ounce cans
- 16 Ounces Kidney Beans Drain the Kidney Beans
Sauté the chopped Onion until soft then add the spices (Chili powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder chicken bouillon, paprika, and oregano). Sauté for 2 minutes to really enhances the spices.
Add the turkey or chicken cook and 1 cup of water with spices. The water will deglaze the pan to remove any spices that may be sticking to the bottom of the pan. Cook over medium heat until the Turkey/Chicken is done. About 5 minutes.
Add kidney beans, spicy chili beans, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and beer. Bring to a boil and then simmer. It will seem like a lot of liquid. But the liquid will cook down and make a thick sauce. Add the Ghost Pepper or Habanero for additional spice
Simmer for one to two hours.
Enjoy. We like to serve with shredded cheese, sour cream a little fresh Jalapeño and/or green onions
