We love broccoli and are always trying new ways to make this green yumminess! So of course we had to make this sautéed broccoli.
This sautéed broccoli with garlic is easy to make and complements grilled meats, as well as serving as a quick vegetarian meal. Our love for this versatile vegetable has led us to try many recipes, including Beef and broccoli stir fry, Broccoli Quiche, or our favorite way to have it on Thanksgiving, Broccoli salad. Just to name a few. I also need to highlight my all-time favorite is General TSO chicken with Broccoli. SO GOOD!!!!!!

Easy Sautéed Broccoli with Garlic
Garlic is a versatile ingredient that can enhance the flavor of many dishes. For this broccoli recipe, we recommend adding garlic along with red pepper flakes or chopped habanero for an extra kick. This dish can be served as a side or a main course and makes delicious leftovers.
Key to bringing out the bright green!
The trick to getting bright green sautéed broccoli is to blanch it first. This method is also a quick way to cook the broccoli and make it visually appealing!
- Cut the broccoli into manageable or bite-size pieces.
- Bring a saucepan of water to a boil
- Add salt to the water after it starts to boil
- Place the broccoli into the boiling water
- Blanche the broccoli for 3 to 4 minutes
- Drain the Broccoli.



While blanching the broccolim slice the garlic and heat the olive oil in a large pan.





Toss the blanched broccoli into the pan with the garlic. Toss for two or three minutes.

Sautéed Broccoli: Quick and Easy Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 Large Head of Broccoli
- ½ Tablespoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 4 Cloves Garlic Sliced
Instructions
- Wash the broccoli and cut into bite-size pieces.1 Large Head of Broccoli
- Bring a saucepan of water to a boil. Add ½ Tablespoon of salt. Add the broccoli to the boiling water.½ Tablespoon Salt
- Blanch the broccoli for 3 minutes. Strain immediately.
- Slice garlic into slivers or use a garlic press.4 Cloves Garlic
- Heat olive oil in a sauté pan.1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- Add the garlic to the olive oil. Cook for 30 seconds to one minute.
- Toss the blanched broccoli with garlic for a couple of minutes. Add the salt to taste.
