We love Tuna Fish sandwiches! I'm not a huge fan of tuna salad with just mayonnaise, it has to have some other textures and flavors to make me happy. We love to add a little extra chopped celery for a crispy crunch and even a jalapeno or two. Of course, we wanted to experiment with the traditional version to cut the calories and add more flavor... and spice. I mean, I have been known to add some peppers to tuna salad. So, we did some brainstorming and came up with this zesty recipe that cuts some fat without interrupting the deliciousness of a good tuna salad. 😀
Tuna Salad
For this recipe, we cut out the regular mayonnaise. By adding lite mayonnaise and lite sour cream we are able to cut out more than 130 calories per serving.
Other Salads!
There is nothing better than throwing together a fun salad for lunch, dinner or just a little snack. We love making this tuna fish salad on bread as a sandwich or with crackers as a snack. It's also great on a bed of lettuce to cut even more calories. Check out our Egg Salad and Chicken Salad Sandwiches. We love making these salads for Game Day. It's fun, and easy and everyone always seems to love them.
