Ingredients

  • 1 pound Chicken Breast Cut into strips
  • ¼ Cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • ¼ Cup Tequila
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Chopped
  • ½ Cup Cilantro Coarsely Chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 or 3 Serranos Chopped. Serranos are optional; only add it if you want it spicy!

Instructions

  • Mix together the marinade. Combine the lime juice, tequila, garlic, cilantro, salt, and serranos.

  • Place chicken strips in a bowl or zip-lock bag. Pour marinade over chicken strips. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 to 45 minutes. Do not marinate longer than one hour!

  • To cook chicken via grilling, start by placing the chicken strips on a hot grill and searing all sides over high heat. Once done, move the chicken to indirect heat and cook it thoroughly. You can use a meat thermometer to ensure that the internal temperature of the chicken is over 165 degrees. Alternatively, you can place the chicken strips on a baking sheet and bake them in an oven preheated to 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked with an internal temperature over 165 degrees.
