Fried Pickles - Air Fried or Baked

Healthier than deep frying and just as crispy. These Air Fryer Pickles can also be baked and are a crunchy fun snack perfect for game day.

Ingredients

  • 16 Ounces Dill Pickles
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 Tablespoons Dill Pickle Juice
  • 2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ Cup Ground Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Cup Panko

Instructions

Prepare Pickles

  • Drain Pickles
    16 Ounces Dill Pickles
  • Lay pickles out on a paper towel
    16 Ounces Dill Pickles
  • Place paper towels on top of the pickles and gently press to dry the pickles. Let set for 15 minutes.

Breading for Pickles

  • In the first bowl mix together flour, salt, and black pepper
    1 Cup Flour, 1 teaspoon Salt, ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • In a second bowl, beat eggs and mix in 3 TBS of the pickle juice
    2 Eggs, 3 Tablespoons Dill Pickle Juice
  • In the third bowl, mix together Panko, cayenne pepper, Parmesan Cheese, and garlic powder
    2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper, 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder, 1 Cup Panko

Breading the Pickles

  • Dip pickles in flour mixture
    16 Ounces Dill Pickles
  • Dip the pickles in the egg mixture
  • Dip the pickles in the panko mixture. Gently press the panko into the pickle to ensure it sticks.

For Air Frying

  • Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil cooking spray
  • Place the pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd. Lightly spray the top of the pickles with olive oil. Air Fry at 400 degrees for 4 minutes
  • Flip the pickles and lightly spray them with olive oil spray. Cook for an additional 4 minutes or until the pickles reach the desired crispiness
  • Enjoy with your favorite dip!

For Baking

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and generously coat with olive oil cooking spray.
  • Place pickles on a baking sheet. Cook for 10 minutes or until pickles reach the desired crispiness.
  • Enjoy with your favorite dip. We like Ranch dressing!!!!!!
