In a saute pan, put 1 tablespoon of olive oil and heat it up.

In the pan where the sausage is cooked, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and heat it up. Next, add the sliced onions, sliced peppers, and a pinch of salt. To make it spicy, you can add a habanero pepper or some crushed red pepper flakes.
To prepare the dish, cook onions and peppers until they become soft, which usually takes around 5 to 8 minutes. Once done, add a cup of water and return the Italian Sausage to the pan, along with the peppers and onions.
Simmer the sausage, onions, and peppers on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes until the vegetables are tender and cooked to your desired consistency.
