How to make the perfect Shrimp Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp Or Chicken
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil or Peanut Oil
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Cup Peas
  • 1 Cup Carrots
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger
  • 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Oyster Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 4 Cups Rice
  • 3 Eggs
  • 4 Green Onions for Garnish

Prep Instructions

  • Chop onion and carrots. Grate the garlic and ginger. Remove the shells and devein the shrimp. Measure the sauces. Measure the peas.

Making the Stir Fry

  • Heat oil in a large pan for 30 seconds
  • Add onion, ginger, and garlic to hot oil. Cook for 2 minutes until the onion starts to turn translucent
  • Add the shrimp. Toss with the onions for a couple of minutes.
  • Add carrots and peas to the shrimp and continue to stir.
  • Cook until the shrimp turns pink and the carrots start to soften.
  • Add the rice. Toss the rice in with the shrimp and veggies. Cook for about 3 minutes until the rice is heated through.
  • Once the rice is heated through, add the sauces to the rice mixture and stir.
  • Add the eggs and toss into the mixture. Toss the eggs with the rice until they are done, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Serve with fresh green onions on top, and ENJOY!!!!
