Make Dinner Easier with Lemon Pasta

Ingredients

  • 8 Ounces Pasta You can use a long or short pasta
  • 2 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic
  • 8 Ounces Shrimp
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 ½ Lemon - Zest and Juice
  • ½ Ounce Parmesan cheese
  • ½ Cup Reserved Pasta Water
  • ¼ Cup Basil
  • ½ Tablespoon Red pepper flakes Optional

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta. Bring a pot of water to boil. Once the water starts to boil add 2 Tablespoons of salt and the Pasta. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package. NOTE: Pasta should be Al Dente because it will cook a little more when added to the shrimp.
    8 Ounces Pasta
  • Heat olive oil in a large pan. Add the cleaned shrimp and garlic to the pan. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of salt on the shrimp. Cook for 3 or 4 minutes until the shrimp is almost fully cooked. Add the lemon juice.
    2 Tablespoon Olive Oil, 1 Tablespoon Garlic
  • When the pasta is done (according to the package instructions), Reserve ½ Cup of the pasta water. Add the pasta, pasta water, and the parmesan cheese to the pan with the shrimp. Cook until the sauce has thickened and coated the pasta.
  • Turn off the heat and add the chopped basil and lemon zest.
    1 teaspoon Salt, ¼ Cup Basil
  • Serve and Enjoy!!!!
