Old-Fashioned Sunday Pot Roast: Tips for a Delicious Meal

Ingredients

Pot Roast

  • 3 Pounds Chuck Roast or Sirloin
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Beef Bouillon
  • 1 Pound Potatoes
  • 3 Large Carrots
  • 1 Onion

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. Place the Roast into the casserole dish.
  • Mix the spices together - Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder and Beef Bouillon
  • Sprinkle the seasoning on all sides of the Beef Roast.
  • Cut the potatoes, carrots, and onions into bite-size chunks.
  • Pour 2 Cups of water into the dish with the roast and veggies.
  • Cover the roast and veggies with foil and place them in the preheated oven at 350 degrees. Bake for 3 Hours.
  • Remove from oven when the roast is done.
  • We like to serve it family style.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

The Drippings from the Roast can be used to make a gravy or as an Au Jus.
