Sausage Gravy

This is an Old Fashion Sausage gravy recipe we have reimagined to cut some of the calories while keeping ALL the flavor (actually more) than the classic gravy.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Sausage We love Jimmy Dean's Spicy Breakfast Sausage.
  • 4 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 Cups Milk We use 1% milk
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper

Instructions

  • Brown the sausage over medium-high heat, Add the salt and pepper while cooking the sausage.
  • When the sausage has browned and is done, Drain off any fat.
  • Sprinkle the flour onto the sausage. Coat the sausage with the flour.
  • Pour the milk into the pan with the sausage and stir until the mixture thickens. Add more milk to thin out the gravy, if needed.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, stir well, and taste to adjust seasoning.
  • Enjoy!!!!
