- 1 Pound Hamburger 80% fat 20% lean
- 1 Pound Ground Sausage
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Green Bell Pepper
- 1 Red Bell Pepper
- 1 Onion
- 1 Cup Ketchup
- ¾ Cup Season Bread Crumbs
- 12 Slices Bacon
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- ½ Tablespoon Salt
- ½ Tablespoon Pepper Add more if you want it a little spicy
Preheat oven to 375. Coarsely chop green pepper, red pepper, and onion
In a large bowl mix together ground beef, sausage, eggs, green pepper, red bell pepper, onion, ketchup, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper.
Mix together (works best if you use your hands).
Form the mixture into a loaf-size form. Place in a loaf pan or casserole dish. Add Bacon to the top of the meatloaf. Sprinkle brown sugar over the bacon.
Bake for one hour at 375 degrees or until done. Enjoy!!!!!
